Background in massage?
I’ve been a therapist for about 4 1/2 years. Mainly do Swedish, deep tissue, and hot stone. I also do ETPS (electro therapeutic point stimulation).
What do you like best about doing massage?
I love just being able to focus and really help people feel better. Its my passion to help people in any way I can, massage is just one of those ways.
What inspired you to get into this industry?
I grew up doing ballet and have always been interested in anatomy. I randomly asked a girl that I danced with who became an MT about it. Everything just kind of made sense: I get to help people, do something that involves anatomy, and being a dancer gives me an edge on understanding how the body moves. It became my passion.
What do you find are your biggest challenges – as a therapist?
Sometimes it’s hard to get clients. So many people don’t really understand that massage therapy isn’t just fluffy work, that it can improve the quality of life greatly.
What one thing would you like to change/improve about the massage industry?
I would love to get rid of massage chains. They aren’t interested in the health of the clients, just the money they bring.
Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
I 100% care about helping my clients. It is definitely an energy that can be felt when I work on them.
Who are the important people in your life?
My family, boyfriend, and two best friends.
What do you like to do for fun?
I take dance classes or have game nights with my friends.
How do you like to relax?
Favorite healthy food?
Peanut butter cups (any chocolate & peanut butter combo)
Any book by Harlan Coben
